The Magic Tool To Brushing My Daughter’s Hair
We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.
One of the dreaded tasks of the morning is brushing my daughter’s hair–by her and me. There’s tears, whining, and frustration on both of our parts. She’s got gorgeous, long hair and we like to do braids, high ponies and buns so there’s no cutting happening anytime soon.
We found an awesome shampoo, conditioner, and detangler that cut back some on the struggles with brushing her hair. We used a good paddle brush but we still had pain. Though I think a lot of the problem was she could hear the brush go through her hair and would say “ow” or be dramatic.
My niece has problems with tangles also and had gotten a new brush–that my mom got her–and loved how it brushed without hurting. I thought the brush looked super flimsy and cheap. Like it was going to break as I pulled it through tangles. But. my daughter wants everything her big cousin has and it wasn’t an expensive brush so I bought it.
Lo and behold, this brush is AH-MAZING! The whining and tears are virtually non-existent. Brushing my daughter’s hair isn’t dreaded by either of us like it was before.
I mentioned it to my mother-in-law since the grandkids spend a lot of time at her house in the summer. She told me she bought 2 brushes so the girls didn’t fight and she was going to have to buy another. She tried one and loved it–even though her hair is fairly short–and it didn’t make it to the kid’s bathroom. haha!
So, if you have a daughter or have problems with tangle with your own hair, I highly recommend trying this brush. Look past the fact that it looks flimsy or that it’s not expensive and give it a shot.
This routine, the Fairy Tales detangling products, and the brush make our mornings so much more pleasant. And let’s be honest, the morning before school is already a struggle with tired kids why not make it a little easier.
I’d love to know if you tried it and how it worked for you. Let me know in the comments. And it would be super awesome if you helped me spread the word on this awesome brush and share this on Facebook and Pinterest. Why not help make other mamas jobs a little easier, too!
